Principal's Message
This will be our final TVPS Update publication of our newsletter for this school year.
Dear Teston Village School Community,
As we approach the final days of the 2025-2026 school year, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared. This year has been filled with moments of growth, learning, and energy. It has been a pleasure to witness our students' progress, both inside and outside the classroom.
Celebrating Our Graduates
A special congratulations to our Grade 8 students! We are immensely proud of your accomplishments and the leadership you have shown. As you prepare to move on to high school, we hope you carry with you the lessons learned and the friendships made here at Teston Village. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours and have no doubt you will continue to make us proud.
The Celebration of Learning for our kindergarten friends was a wonderful way to end our week. The sun was shining, and families came out to see their little ones enjoy their farewell to kindergarten and prepare for the excitement of Grade 1 in September. Thank you to the team for hosting such a beautiful morning. We appreciate all of the families who participated in this beautiful moment in your children's journey!
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Village
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our staff. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to our students are the foundation of our school's success. Thank you for inspiring all of us to learn every day.
To our families and volunteers, thank you for being our essential partners. Your support, whether it was helping with school events, reinforcing learning at home, or joining our school council, has been invaluable. You truly embody the spirit that "it takes a village," and we are so grateful for your active presence in our school community.
This is an opportunity to say thank you to an amazing office team!
Ms. Lupo and Mrs. Ghumman are simply the best, and we are grateful for all that they do to support staff, students, parents, community partners, and each other! We are in a better place at Teston Village because we have the both of you!
We wish you all a wonderful summer holiday and hope you have the opportunity to spend quality time outdoors, make cherished memories with your children, and enjoy a well-deserved break from the busy school routines. This time is precious, and we encourage you to savour every moment.
See you refreshed and ready for a new school year in the fall.
Sincerely,
Ms. S. Mediratta

This hardworking team supported so many students in our school. There were so many wonderful memories and laughs shared between staff and students. They would bring sunshine to the school even on a cloudy day! We will miss you and hope that you will return one day!
Farewell, Simrit Anand (French), Natasha Gill (Prep teacher), Julia Fallico (Grade 4), Samantha Hood (DECE Kindergarten), Ms. Lam (Gr. 5/6), and Deborah Ntiri (Kindergarten). This amazing team filled in as long-term occasional teachers in a variety of classrooms. They instantly made connections with their students and have formed lasting friendships with the staff. We hope to see you again soon!
See you soon, Kristi McIndoe who will be off next year and will return September 2027. We hope you enjoy the adventures you have planned for next year. Don't miss us too much; get lots of sleep and make wonderful memories.
All the best to Ms. Alex Celebre who will be off to celebrate a new addition to her family for maternity leave. We send our best wishes to her whole family.
Farewell to Ms. Giselle Lupo. She has been the new face in the office and the voice on the phone for the school year and has definitely become a part of the TVPS family. She met so many students and learned their names so quickly and would run out the door before lunch every day to manage other responsibilities. Ms. Lupo's energy and love for soccer and her artsy talent will be missed next year. Thank you for your support and professionalism. Remember to visit "The Village" when you are in the neighbourhood. We wish her all the best in her new role.

Student Transportation Reminders
Student Transportation Services of York Region (STSYR) is committed to supporting student achievement by planning and managing safe, efficient transportation that focuses on customer service and utilizes innovative resources. STSYR is responsible for ensuring all students receive transportation service in accordance with the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) Policy #680- Student Transportation.
Each year, during the summer planning period, STSYR Transportation Planners adjust bus route schedules to accommodate new students, boundary or program changes, bell time changes, and new school openings. Transportation Planners also assess routes to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively to provide optimal service for the students of York Region. As a result, some students may experience changes to their transportation arrangements, including their stop location, stop time, route number, or vehicle type.
To ensure you have the correct, up-to-date information, all families are encouraged to check the Find Your Bus Stop page on our website at www.SchoolBusCity.com in August. Please note: changes may also occur from time-to-time throughout the school year as students move into or out of the system.
