TVPS Update Week #24 - Friday, February 20th

Principal's Message

Hello Teston Village PS Families,

This week was filled with celebration, leadership, and community connection.

Our Winter Activity Day was a success! The weather was beautiful, allowing students to fully enjoy a variety of outdoor winter activities. A special thank you goes to our Grade 7 students, who demonstrated outstanding leadership by supporting younger students and helping activities run smoothly. Our staff also organized fun events that brought plenty of smiles and laughter to the yard. It was a wonderful example of teamwork and school spirit in action.

We are also proud of our Intermediate Boys’ Basketball Team, who competed at the Area Tournament this week. The team represented Teston Village with determination and sportsmanship. We are so proud of their hard work and positive attitude. Go Tornadoes!

On Friday evening, Teston proudly participated in a first-time Iftaar event at Maple High School. In collaboration with six neighbouring schools, we helped host over 500 guests for an evening filled with food, student-led tables, festive activities, and meaningful community connection. It was a beautiful example of partnership and inclusion, and we were honoured to be part of such a special evening alongside so many wonderful families. We want to thank Maple High for hosting the event and give thanks to the Ahmadiyya community for the delicious food. It was a pleasure working alongside Discovery P.S., Mackenzie Glen P.S., Michael Cranny P.S., Maple Creek P.S., and Joseph A. Gibson P.S..

Thank you for your continued support in making our school community strong, inclusive, and connected.

Sincerely,
Ms. S. Mediratta
