Principal's Message
Hello Teston Village PS families,
Thank you for another wonderful week!
Progress reports
They will be sent home on Wednesday, November 19th, and on the following 2 days we welcome families into the school for parent-teacher interviews. This is an opportunity for teachers and families to meet in-person, discuss how the year has started, and set academic and social goals.
REMEMBER EDSBY
Parent-teacher bookings end the morning of the 19th, so please do not wait until the last minute to set up some time to meet with the teacher. If time slots are all booked, please reach out to the teacher to arrange another time and date to meet with them.
Boys Washroom Update!
Over the past week, we have noticed significant improvement in the boys’ washrooms, particularly on the second floor. While occasional incidents are still occurring, they are far fewer than what we were seeing last week. We want to extend our sincere thanks to the many families who reached out and committed to having conversations at home to reinforce our expectations. Your ongoing support makes a meaningful difference in helping us maintain clean, safe, and respectful shared spaces for all students. Your partnership truly goes a long way in the overall care and upkeep of our school.
Stay dry and stay warm!
We have noticed an increase in students returning from recess very wet, muddy, or covered in dirt, which often leads to discomfort for the remainder of the school day. Many of our younger students do not yet have extra clothing at school to help them manage these situations.
To support your child and help us maintain safe and comfortable learning spaces, we kindly ask families to send the following items:
An extra pair of socks in your child’s backpack
A spare pair of pants and a t-shirt or sweater placed in a labelled bag
Indoor shoes that your child can leave at school
(We ask that students do not wear winter boots in the classroom, as they track in water and mud.)
These small items make a big difference in keeping our students dry, warm, and ready to learn throughout the day.
Please see below for this week’s highlights and upcoming events
Sincerely,
Ms. S. Mediratta

Intermediate Girls Volleyball:
We are so proud to celebrate our Intermediate Girls Volleyball Team, who earned a hard-fought second place at the Areas tournament yesterday. This remarkable group of athletes has poured their hearts into every practice, every drill, and every game, and it all shone through on the court. Their teamwork, commitment, and steady determination were truly inspiring to watch.
Mr Chan and Ms McIndoe want the team to know just how proud they are. You represented our school with strength, skill, and so much heart. Congratulations, girls on an incredible achievement! Teston on 3!
Intermediate Boys Volleyball:
On Wednesday, our Intermediate Boys Volleyball Team competed at Areas here at Teston. Led by team captains Noor and Raeed, the boys faced off against four other schools, finishing first overall and earning a spot in the semi-finals at Discovery. After four more hard-fought wins, we’re excited to announce that your Teston Village Tornadoes are the 2025 Area Champions!
The team’s path to victory wasn’t easy. They faced a tough loss during round-robin play and even dropped the second game of the best-of-three final. But instead of giving up, they dug deep, showed resilience, and came back to win it all.
Their determination and teamwork paid off, and now they’ll move on to represent our school at the Regional Championships in two weeks. Go Tornadoes!
