School bus and taxi transportation to schools is canceled for the day.
All schools are open/running as usual.
Recess is modified in response to the weather and outdoor temperature
Inclement Weather (Procedure #152.2)
School bus and taxi transportation to schools is canceled for the day.
All schools are open.
Please notify the school if your child will not be attending school
If the school has a special day like pizza lunch or popcorn day, they are cancelled and rescheduled for the next school day.
Students will not be penalized for missing school on these days.
Emergency Weather Day (System Closure) (Procedure #152.3)
The system (schools, workplaces, and Board offices) will be closed due to an extreme weather event.
A decision to close the system will be made in conjunction with the York Catholic District School Board and will be communicated by 6:00 am using the Board’s regular communication process.
School bus and taxi transportation to schools is cancelled for the day.
Notice about the potential of system closure will be provided to schools, parents, and workplaces the day prior, when possible.
A reminder:
Indoor shoes to wear when students take off their winter boots
Some extra socks in a bag that can stay in the backpack
An extra set of clothes are also helpful for our primary students (pants and a t-shirt)
